Whipple City Festival - June 19, 20 & 21, 2009
There are many exciting things planned for the
17th Annual Whipple City Festival !
Beginning Friday evening at 6:00 pm the Village of Greenwich Bicentennial Parade, then an opening ceremony with dignitaries - followed by the
Captain Sqeeze and the Zydeco Moshers at 6:30
Saturday begins with the Whipple City 5K Race at 8:30, we expect to have over 100 racers traveling through the beautiful countryside course.
The Greenwich Central School Scholarship Fund benefits from the 5 K Race.
Saturday - Bubbles the Clown 10:00 - 12:00pm
Live! Radio Disney Show 1:00 to 4:00 pm - Fun for the entire family with
music and audience participation.
Open Mike with local talent at 6:30 - 9:30
Sunday - Greenwich Interfaith Service at 12:00 to 12:30
Bubbles the Clown 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Bob Warren at 1:00 - 4:00 pm

"Old Fashioned" fun games for the entire family (Fri-Sun) and a Mobile Laser Tag Games (Fri-Sat) on Academy St.
Throughout the weekend:
Country Craft Fair, Great Food Vendors, Community Organizations Info booths, Live Animal Exhibits of Alpacas, Emus, Reindeer and local wildlife demos, free
Horse & Wagon Rides thru the Village and Much more to come & do!

Registration Information:
This event is a three-day festival celebrating Greenwich. The weekend events kick off with a Friday Parade, "Village of Greenwich Bicentennital Celebration 1809 - 2009 " at 6:00 traveling from the Greenwich Plaza on Rt.29
along Main Street to Washington Square, ending at Mowry Park for the opening ceremony. Download a registration form.

5K Whipple City Festival Race - on Saturday morning at 8:30 - registration at 7:30 at the Greenwich Central School or to Pre- register Download the form.
T-Shirts and runners goody bag to first 100 registrants - Plus a beautiful country route to travel....
